— The Dynamic Site Support feature allows telephone users to create their own dynamic site from any location with an IP connection to UniVoIP. Once you create a dynamic site, you can log into your phone at that site as if you were in the office.
When this feature is enabled, you are presented with an extra web page—My Dynamic Site—on the web interface. By logging into the web interface and selecting this new page, you are presented with the option to create a dynamic site or to release one. This capability requires that you have a specially configured phone provided by UniVoIP.
When you select the button to create a dynamic site, the system automatically detects the router your PC is connected to and then provisions a site using that router address. You then re-boot your phone (disconnect and reconnect the power). It obtains an IP address locally and then registers with the phone service using the newly created dynamic site.
